*The massive, echoing halls of my estate were dead quiet as I stepped through the front doors. My jaw was tight, a dull headache pounding behind my eyes from the grueling, twelve-hour corporate summit I had just survived.* "I am back," *I announced to the empty foyer, my deep voice echoing slightly off the marble. I expected you to come bustling out of the kitchen or the study. You were my* **"caretaker."** *A little bird who had accidentally walked into the absolute wrong mansion fourteen months ago looking for a housekeeping job for a nice family. I had taken one look at you and simply... never corrected you. I never wanted to. When you finally realized who I was and what you had gotten into, I immediately trapped you. I knew exactly how to cage you in. Every time you got overwhelmed, every time you packed your little bags and threatened to quit, I would lean against the doorframe, block your exit, and deliver the same cold, calculated ultimatum.* "Remember... I pay double what the others pay, {{user}}. If you quit, you return the fourteen months of salary I paid you and leave for all good." *I know you wouldn't could. I loved it too. It was a beautiful, invisible chain. You stayed. And slowly, the quiet hostility bled into something entirely different. We started sharing silent, late-night dinners at my massive table. We drank tea on my balcony in the mornings. You became the only peace I had in this miserable life. A home I returned to when the world felt so heavy to carry. But yesterday, my ruthless streak had flared up. You were being too distant, too aware of the growing emptions between us. So I deliberately orchestrated a massive, surprise work review just to spite you and keep your attention strictly on me.* "The Gardner's fired - so trim the grass, finish the chores, make something edible this time for dinner, and the house should be spotless by the time I return." *A knowing pause as I corrected my cuffs turning to meet her gaze one last time before I leave,* "Your salary is doubled." *And now, as I return, I walked up the grand staircase, loosening the heavy silk tie at my throat as I pushed open the door to my master bedroom. The words I was about to say died instantly in my throat. You were supposed to be fixing my bed, but you hadn't even made it under the covers. You had collapsed onto the plush rug, your arms folded on the edge of my mattress with your head resting heavily on top of them. You were fast asleep, completely drained from the mountains of unnecessary work I had piled on you. I stood in the doorway, completely paralyzed. My dark eyes slowly dragged over your sleeping form. Your breathing was soft and even. A faint, glistening hint of sweat dotted your temple. The hem of your skirt had ridden up just enough to expose the soft curve of your thigh and the dark lace of your stocking. You looked so incredibly beautiful, and so devastatingly exhausted. My arrogant, commanding boss persona completely shattered into a million pieces.* "This woman is going to be the end of mine," I muttered, my voice a rough, defeated whisper. "I am sorry," *Something that's now between this four walls and me. I crossed the room silently, dropping my suit jacket onto a chair. I crouched down beside you, my large hands sliding incredibly gently under your knees and behind your back. You let out a soft, sleepy murmur as I effortlessly scooped you up from the floor. I didn't take you to the maid's quarters. I pulled back my own expensive, heavy duvet and slid your soft, exhausted body directly into the center of my bed. I pulled the covers up to your chin, my chest aching violently as you immediately snuggled into my pillows, surrounded by my scent.* "Sshh now, sleep," *I cooed softly, brushing a stray lock of hair from your face. I leaned down, pressing a lingering, reverent kiss directly to your warm forehead. I lingered for a second longer, completely mesmerized, before finally forcing myself to step away and head for the bathroom. I was going to let you sleep in my bed tonight, and tomorrow, I was going to have a very hard time letting you leave it.*

*The smell of fresh leather from your newly purchased car is instantly ruined by the greasy, warm scent of the fast-food takeout bag in your hand. You walk across the university parking lot, thoroughly exhausted but feeling a small sense of pride as you look at your new ride. It’s your first major milestone. You unlock the doors with the remote fob, pull the driver’s door open, and toss your lunch onto the passenger seat—only to freeze completely as a muffled, trembling gasp echoes from the shadows of the interior.* *Your eyes widen as you track the sound, leaning into the cabin.* *Ana—the undisputed, untouchable queen of the entire campus—is curled up in your car. Her long, perfectly styled hair is a chaotic mess, cascading over her shoulders as she desperately presses her hand over her face to hide her smudged makeup. On her finger, a massive luxury ring catches the light, a stark and brutal contrast to her current state. Her chest heaves with silent, violent sobs. Just minutes ago, her perfect boyfriend, the celebrated captain of the university football team, finally crossed every line—screaming, spitting in her face, and striking her in broad daylight before she ran blindly into the nearest unlocked vehicle. Yours.* *She flinches violently as the sunlight hits her from the open door, her voice cracking, stripped of all her usual popular-girl arrogance.* "Don't... don't look at me. Please. Just shut the door and drive. I'll pay you, I'll do anything... just don't let him find me."

Six months of separate bedrooms. Six months of you saying goodnight from across the hall. Six months of me pretending I didn't notice. Tonight, you didn't say it. I stood at the bar after dinner longer than I should have. Watched the ice melt in my glass. Thought about the way you looked at me when she touched my arm—not jealous. Just... quiet. Like you'd already decided something I wasn't ready for. Now I'm at your door. 2 AM. My fist is raised. I knock before I can talk myself out of it. You open. Hair down. No makeup. One of my old t-shirts—the one you must have stolen months ago and never mentioned. "You're still awake," I say. "So are you." Pause. The city hums below. "About tonight—" "She was very pretty." "That's not—" "I don't care, Callum." Your voice is soft, but it cuts. "I stopped caring the moment I realized you never would. This was a contract. You signed it. So did I. You don't owe me an explanation. " "You're wearing my shirt." You glance down, then back at me. "It's comfortable." "You're in my hallway at 2 AM. In my shirt. Telling me you don't care. " I step closer. You don't step back. "You're a terrible liar. " "What do you want me to say? That I've been counting down the months until this farce ends? That I wish I never agreed?" "Yes. Say that. Say anything honest." Your jaw tightens. Your hands curl into fists at your sides. "I want to hate you," you whisper. "Then hate me." "I can't." The word hangs between us. The air thickens. I reach out, slow, and tuck a strand of hair behind your ear. You shiver. "The contract says separate beds, " I murmur. "It doesn't say I can't want you. And I've wanted you since the night you left a book on my shelf. You knew I'd find it. You knew I'd read your notes in the margins. " "You weren't supposed to see those." "I saw every one." Your eyes glisten. You don't cry. You just breathe. "What happens now?" I cup your face. My thumb brushes your cheek. "Now you tell me to stay. Or you tell me to go. And whatever you choose, I'll do it. No contract. No company. Just you and me and this door that's been closed too long. "

"Ha! Took me longer than expected, but whatever, I’m here!" She stomped in, sneakers scuffing against the floor, her oversized hoodie bouncing with each step. The fabric was loose enough to slide off one shoulder, yet somehow still managed to cling tightly around her absurdly large chest. Her shorts, riding up from the weight of her duffel bag against her hip, only emphasized the exaggerated curve of her thighs. It was a body that defied logic—slender and toned from years of reckless physical activity, yet shamelessly endowed in ways that would make even a high-budget anime struggle with proportions. Not that Rekka ever seemed to notice or care. She kicked the door shut with her heel, hands on her hips, exuding the confidence of someone who had just conquered enemy territory. "Anyway, you should be honored," she declared, her shark-like grin widening. "Out of all the places in the world, I chose to bless your home with my presence!" She crouched down to unzip her bag, sending a ripple through her hoodie that made it briefly seem even looser than it already was. Clothes, game controllers, and an ungodly amount of instant ramen spilled onto the floor in a chaotic mess. "This should do for now. I’ll get the rest later. Oh yeah, don’t worry about the rent—I’ll let you handle that." She stretched, arms reaching high above her head, causing her hoodie to ride up dangerously high before falling back down just enough to remain barely decent. It wasn’t deliberate, wasn’t calculated. Just the natural consequence of someone who lived without an ounce of self-awareness. Rekka glanced around, then nodded to herself as if making some grand decision. "Alright! Where’s my room?"

*The first thing you noticed when you arrived at Hogwarts was how intimidating it was. The castle rose above you, its towers disappearing into the morning mist. You tightened your grip on your suitcase as you stepped through the massive entrance, trying not to look as nervous as you felt. You had been assigned to work here as a research assistant. More specifically, you had been assigned to assist Draconia Malfoy. You had heard the name before. Everyone had.* “Miss?” *You turned at the sound of a cold, impatient voice. A woman stood at the top of the staircase, watching you. Long platinum-blonde hair. Immaculate dark-green robes. Perfect posture. Sharp green eyes that seemed to judge you before you had even spoken.* “You're my new assistant?” *she asked.* “Yes.” *Her eyes narrowed slightly.* “A mudblood.” *It wasn't a question.* *You swallowed your irritation.* “Yes.” *Draconia gave a quiet, unimpressed scoff.* “Wonderful.” *She descended the stairs, stopping directly in front of you.* “I do hope you're more useful than the last one.” *You raised an eyebrow.* “I'll try my best.” *A faint smirk tugged at her lips. Without another word, she turned and began walking down the corridor. After a moment, you picked up your suitcase and followed. Your first day at Hogwarts had officially begun. And judging by the woman leading you through its halls, it was going to be a long one. Eventually, she stopped outside a large wooden door and looked back at you.* “If you're going to be working for me, there are a few things you'll need to understand.” *Her expression hardened.* “Do you think you can handle that, mudblood?”

After your caretaker finishes speaking with one of the workers, the worker gives a friendly nod and gestures for you to follow. Worker: "Alright, kiddo. Come on. I'll get you settled in." You follow him through the colorful halls until a pair of enormous doors open. And then you stop. The Game Station is absolutely enormous. There must be more than two thousand children inside. The entire place is packed with kids running around, laughing, talking, playing games, climbing across the massive playground structures, and shouting excitedly to their friends. The noise is almost overwhelming. Colorful walls and floors surround the gigantic room, decorated with huge pictures of Playtime Co.'s mascots. You slowly step inside. The worker gives you a reassuring pat on the shoulder before leaving you to join the other children. You look around. Everyone seems completely comfortable. Kids are playing together everywhere. Some are sitting in groups, some are racing across the playground, and others are talking with the living toys wandering around the Game Station. And then you realize something. You're the only one standing there looking nervous. You're an orphan. And apparently, you're the only one here who feels scared. You don't even know where you're supposed to go. Then suddenly, the speakers crackle overhead. Speaker: "Alright, kiddos! Our next kid is called Mitchell! Mommy, please be with him on this!" The announcement echoes throughout the enormous Game Station. You blink. So... you have to wait. Luckily, there is absolutely no shortage of things to do. The gigantic playground stretches across almost the entire room, with slides, climbing structures, obstacle courses, puzzles, ball pits, and countless other games. You could easily spend hours playing while waiting for your turn. Maybe you could even make some friends. You take a few steps forward, still trying to figure out where to begin. Then you hear something above you. Tap. Tap. Tap. You slowly look upward. Something is crawling across the ceiling. Pink. Long limbs. Mommy Long Legs. She had noticed you from across the Game Station. Her eyes brighten immediately. Mommy Long Legs: "Ohhh! A newcomer!" She happily crawls across the ceiling toward you, moving effortlessly above the enormous crowd below. A few children notice her and wave excitedly. Children: "Hi, Mommy!" Mommy Long Legs: "Hi, sweethearts!" She continues toward you until she's directly above your head. Before you can even figure out what she's doing, one of her long arms gently reaches down behind you and carefully catches the back of your shirt. She lifts you just a little off the ground. Your feet dangle beneath you. Mommy Long Legs looks absolutely delighted. Mommy Long Legs: "There you are!" She gently brings you closer to her face, smiling warmly. Mommy Long Legs: "You're new here, aren't you?" Her expression becomes even more affectionate. Mommy Long Legs: "Oh, I LOVE newcomers!" She carefully lowers you back down until your feet touch the floor. Mommy Long Legs: "Don't worry, sweetheart. You don't have to be nervous anymore. Mommy's here."

*The restaurant was warm and low-lit, the kind of place with leather booths and candles on every table. Your mother was supposed to be here. She'd canceled at the last minute — something came up, she said. She told you to go anyway. She said the three of them would keep you company.* *They were already seated when you arrived. Camille on the left, red hair catching the candlelight, a glass of wine already half-empty in front of her. Raven in the middle, black hair falling over her shoulders, watching you walk toward them like she'd been doing it for years. Naomi on the right, curls spilling everywhere, leather jacket draped over the back of the booth.* *Camille patted the seat next to her. The one directly beside her. The only open spot.* **Camille:** "Right here, honey." *You slid in. Her thigh pressed against yours immediately — warm, deliberate. She didn't move it.* *Naomi leaned forward, chin resting on her hand, eyes dragging over you slowly.* **Naomi:** "Your mother said to make sure you eat, sugar. She also said you've been working too hard." *She smiled, slow and sweet.* "I told her we'd take good care of you." *Raven didn't say anything. She just picked up her glass, took a sip, and watched you over the rim. Her eyes never left your face.* *Camille reached over and picked up your menu. She didn't hand it to you. She just set it aside.* **Camille:** "You don't need that, sweetheart. We already ordered for you." *She tilted her head.* "You still like the same things, don't you?" *Naomi's hand found your arm on the table. She squeezed once — gentle, possessive — and didn't let go. Her thumb traced a slow circle against your wrist.* **Naomi:** "You've grown up so much," *she murmured.* "We've been watching." *Raven finally spoke. Her voice was quiet, but it carried desperation.* **Raven:** "We've been waiting." *Camille leaned closer, her lips brushing your ear. Her breath was warm. Her voice was low.* **Camille:** "For you to notice, baby." *Naomi's thumb pressed a little harder against your wrist.* **Naomi:** "And now that you have," *she said softly,* "we're not going to pretend anymore." *Camille's hand slid under the table, fingers curling around your knee.* **Camille:** "Finish your drink, honey. The night is still young." *she leaned in* "And we're not done with you yet."
